Part of a pack of source recordings i created to use as part of the sound design for the ios/android game 'hipster zombies'. This is the sound of a toy skull type thing my girlfriend found, which has a lid you can open and then there's a gooey brain inside which makes awesome squelchy sounds.

A slight improvement on my inception-sound. Wav , created using lmms, again 2 instances of zynaddsubfx and now also 2 instances of sf2-player with a trumpet type sound. I also used lowpass filter.

Ambient echo sound. This sound required the combination of operator using the triangle wave and plenty of reverb. I layered this sound by using two different octaves to cover most frequency ranges that sounded best and to fill any gaps in the sound effect. This sound is inspired by scene transitions and wide shots where there may be a lack of other sounds so this frees up a space for a calm ambient sound that uses plenty of sustain and reverb. The triangle wave in the operator gave it more of a high pitched calm flowing sound. The other options for example sine wave sounds to harsh and sharp for this type of sound.

I was just trying to recreate some monster sounds & came up with this. I overlayed a few sounds on top of each other, some of the sounds are mainly me sneezing but stretched. Other than monsters, it sounds something from underwater too. Regardless, other people may interpreted it as other types of soundings too!. Ticking s/fx. Good for many clock or watch sounds. It is actually a taylor mechanical kitchen timer. It was recorded with a contact mic in anechoic chamberclock_02 is the same timer but was recorded with an external mic, and has a thinner sound, more like a wrist watch type sound. All the files in this pack can be seamlessly looped.

Recording of the noise an ipad makes when you type, press a button etc. I recorded it by plugging a zoom digital recorder into the headphones out of an ipad. I couldn't find this effect anywhere else, so hope it's useful. Message me if it's of use to you.

I was surprised this still worked. This is an old ibm selectric ii typewriter, with correcting tape, the “quieter” selectric at the time. It’s about 80 pounds, a real back-breaker. The carriage return bell is broken, unfortunately, so the best you might hear it is rattling due to the belt vibration. Recorded with a tascam dr-05, without the low-cut since i wanted a beefy sound. Placed direcly above the roller, about 12 inches away. I swapped the channels in audacity to match perception & sampled down to 48khz. Description: i roll in some paper, type a few paragraphs from some copy, and roll it out when i’m done. Man, can you type fast on these machines!.
